Many locals have contacted me about the problems they have issues with mobile phone connectivity. The vast majority of Ryan is less than 20km from the Brisbane CBD yet so many people can't get reliable mobile coverage. Too many of you experience frequent drop outs and some no service at all.
A recent survey by Kenmore residents found that out of 265 households only 15% said their coverage was "Acceptable" or "Modest". 85% said their mobile coverage is "Limited".
In 2026, it's essential to have a reliable phone and internet connection. It's not good enough that even residents of a state capital can't get the coverage they need. That's why I'm collecting reports of mobile blackspots in Ryan to further advocate on this issue.
