Australian politics needs a shakeup. Both old parties are putting the interests of their big corporate donors ahead of our communities. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We can restore integrity to politics and end dirty donations and the unlimited political spending by rich individuals.
Over the last 3 years the Liberals have accepted $2,365,250 and Labor have accepted $1,108,528 from fossil fuel companies.
The Greens refuse to take corporate donations and would limit political donations to $1000 per year for any person or organisation. We’ll work to clean up politics with a strong, anti-corruption watchdog, by closing the revolving door between politicians and cushy jobs with big corporations, and by banning political donations from fossil fuel corporations and big developers.
