Fix our NDIS

Disabled people should be valued as equal members of our communities and provided with the support and services needed to live a good life. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was created to give disabled people choice and control over these supports and services. But successive LNP governments have failed to adequately fund or staff the scheme and ignored disabled voices telling them what’s wrong. Residents in Ryan with disabilities that should be supported by the NDIS struggle to get the help they need via a system that's been set up to prioritise barriers over access.

The Greens will fully fund the NDIS with an extra $4.6 billion and lift the arbitrary staffing cap so that disabled people can access well-trained staff.
