Brisbane residents already suffer from the worst flight noise in the country. And, as the Westside densifies, more and more people are missing out on a good night’s sleep and the quiet enjoyment of their home since the opening of the second runway in 2020.
I believe it is so important that we let our neighbours know that they are not alone, and that this is a real issue affected people's mental and physical health. We are just asking for the same standards that Sydney has - standards that mean we aren't exposed to dangerous noise levels.
