Community BBQ in The Gap

Upgrade The Gap Bowl!

More than 1000 people have already signed Jake Woodiwiss’ petition to have The Gap Bowl upgraded. My team and I are keen to support locals who take action on issues that matter to them, so that sort of initiative from a high school student caught our attention!

Jake makes an excellent case for why this community facility should be upgraded. One of his arguments is that while there are many public amenities and facilities for young children, there are hardly any for adolescents. He also argues that now that BMX is an Olympic sport, this upgrade might be what it takes to see a young Ryanite win Gold in BMX in 2032!

To help Jake and his supporters get more attention for their cause, I'm hosting a Community BBQ at The Gap Bowl.

What else does The Gap community need?

One of the key features of a sustainable city is having public amenities and green space easily accessible without a car. Jake's pitch about The Gap Bowl made me wonder:

What other amenities and facilities are needed in The Gap?

How well served is The Gap community by public transport?

Are the diverse needs of the community catered for?

Some of the issues already raised by residents of The Gap include: poor Internet connection affecting small businesses, poor public transport after 6pm, and lack of services. What would you add to the list?

Come along to our Community BBQ, enjoy a free sausage or two, and chat to me and my team about what we need in our community.
