The policies of both Coalition and Labor governments have destroyed manufacturing in Australia. Jobs have been sent offshore, along with their profits, while unemployment rises and wages flatline.
The Greens will drive a jobs-rich manufacturing revival by investing $12 billion in a new Manufacturing Australia Fund to modernise and expand Australian manufacturing. This includes establishing green steel hubs in Queensland and NSW, backing the advanced manufacturing processes of the future and driving a 700% increase in renewable energy to make clean energy for manufacturing cheap and abundant.
