Snap Drop-In session for Mt Coot-tha 2025

Mt Coot-tha is one of Brisbane’s most cherished natural places, a place to walk, breathe, reflect and connect. But once again, the LNP-led Brisbane City Council is proposing major changes without proper community consultation.

A new “Masterplan” has been announced with little detail, following the Council’s backflip on its promise to close the Mt Coot-tha Quarry. A promise made after extensive public consultation that remains unreleased almost a year later.

Now, commercial developments like “eco glamping,” light shows and food trucks are being floated before the community has even seen the outcomes of the previous consultation.

The Greens are deeply concerned by this growing trend of privatising our public green spaces. This drop-in session is a chance to come together, share what we know, and discuss how we can work to protect Mt Coot-tha for future generations.

All are welcome! We’d love to see you there.
