Tax Gas Exports: Strategy Session

If you’ve been following Libby's work over the last few months, you have probably seen our campaign for Australia get a fair share of our gas wealth. The government refused to implement a simple 25% tax on gas export revenue in its latest budget, despite multinational gas corporations making billions in profits and many paying no tax at all. This tax would raise $17 billion each year to fund essential services to make everyday people’s lives better.

The Greens, along with independent cross benchers such as David Pocock, NGOs, the Australia Institute, have been ramping up the pressure on the Government to fairly tax gas corporations and we want you to be a part of this campaign.

You are a leader in our movement, and we have an incredible opportunity to capitalise on this momentum to win something good for Australians, and set ourselves up for the best possible chance in the suite of 2028 elections.

So come along to our Strategy Session session where we will discuss what we have done so far, why we think this is the best way to position the Greens, and why we need leaders like you.
