The top 1% might be breaking our economy and our democracy - but the 99% can fix it. When we get organised we win. Australia is at a tipping point: we either act now to stop the 1% consolidating wealth and power, or we end up like the USA. Spiralling economic inequality, the climate crisis, the housing crisis – they are all connected.
Labor, the Liberals and One Nation (who just won 20% of the state-wide vote in South Australia) are all backing a system that works for the 1%. Something has to change.
Rush hour is a great time to be visible to the public as they travel through the city for work, so come along and let the public know about how the 1% aren't paying their fair share! If you're new to commuter chatting, we will pair you up with an experienced volunteer, so you can learn the ropes and take it as slow as you like.
