1 in 3 big corporations pay no tax. On average, Australian billionaires made $67,000 per hour last year.
Something has to change when a teacher, nurse or small business owner pays more tax than a massive multinational gas corporation.
By collecting more tax from big corporations and billionaires, we could lower the cost of living and invest more in public healthcare, education and services.
Here's how we'll raise $514 billion to fund the things you need:
- Close the loopholes in Australia's tax system on oil and gas exports.
- Implement a super-profits tax on coal and other non-essential mining projects.
- A 40% tax on excess profits for big corporations with over $100 million in turnover.
- A 10% tax on the annual net wealth of Australia's 150 billionaires.
